Fri, 17 Feb 2012About a decade and a half after Porsche eschewed its lightness-and-small-displacement strategy and built a five-liter sports racer to take down Ferrari at Le Mans, a different sort of war kicked off between the two marques: a battle for supremacy in the super-supercar market. But it’s starting to look like Mercedes may be bucking the trend with slightly surprising plans to take a V12 version of the new SL to the New York Auto Show next month – the Mercedes SL 65 AMG.
