Trucking Company GimmicksTrucking companies have a gimmick that they charge for residential delivery. If you have a shop behind your house, it is considered a residential delivery I have customers tell me "I have trucks deliver all the time" I do not doubt that trucking companies deliver to you all the time, but by the time they add a residential charge, an appointment fee and a redelivery fee, the fees can add to over an extra $150 on top of the quote you were already given!!! Another charge the trucking companies like to charge is a redeliver charge. If the company sends a truck out to do a delivery during regular business hours and you cannot unload it. The company will charge a redelivery fee. The company paid a driver to come to your location and paid for fuel, so the company does not care If you: Went to get a pizza Long story short, if the company has to come back to deliver. The company will add a redelivery fee that You will be responsible for If you are given a shipping quote, I will honor it for 10 days. I however need to repeat myself, You are responsible for redelivery, residential or farm delivery and an appointment fee if the carrier adds thoes extra fees. The fees can add up to an extra $150. Ford F-150 SVT Raptor gets turned into 'The Beast'
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Looks like we've got ourselves a good ol' fashioned truck horsepower war brewing. Hot on the heels of the debut of the Chevrolet Silverado-based Reaper by Lingelfelter and the Callaway-tuned Chevrolet Silverado, German tuner Geiger has brought out their version of the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor dubbed "The Beast." Apparently, the company felt that the standard Raptor just didn't produce enough power, but their take on the already mental truck is slightly different from Hennessey's approach. Geiger has added a 2.9-liter supercharger to the 6.2-liter V8, bringing the horsepower output up from 411-hp to 572-hp.

Toyota Prius Recall: 30,790 cars in the UK, 1.9 million worldwide recalled
Thu, 13 Feb 2014The 3rd generation Toyota Prius (pictured) is being recalled Toyota’s hasn’t had a lot of luck with recalls in the last few years, although the latest recall for the Toyota Prius isn’t quite on the scale we’ve seen for previous recalls. It’s only eight months since the last Toyota Prius recall – which affected around 5,000 Prius models in the UK from 2009 – but this latest recall is a lot more extensive, affecting third generation Prius built from March 2009 to February 2014 and totalling 30,790 cars in the UK and 1.9 million worldwide. The issue is a problem with the hybrid system’s boost converter software, which is used when the car is under heavy load such as accelerating hard from a standstill.
