The cute & stylish Fiat 500 dashboard Even though the 500 looks cute and cuddly – which it is – its innocent, retro look belies the fact that the 500 is a surprisingly good drive. A 1.3 diesel isn’t an engine I was expecting to be overly entertaining -even if it is one of Fiat’s new MultiJet jobs –  but I was pleasantly surprised. Below 2000 rpm it’s a bit slow and sluggish and, if I am really honest, a bit of a let down.

SEAT hints at new Nurburgring lap record

Repeated references to the Nurburgring during the press conference at the launch of the new SEAT Leon Cupra strongly suggest that the 280hp hot hatch has broken the front-wheel drive lap record. SEAT is waiting until the 2014 Geneva Motor Show before saying any more, but has already hinted that its new Leon Cupra is significantly faster than the current Renaultsport Megane record holder. GM has released a video featuring the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Much of the Detroit Motor Show has been low key. The headline stuff has been mainly about ‘Eco’ cars and although there has been a bit of domestic ‘Muscle’ it’s been a bit thin on the ground. Yes, we had the Mustang GT and even the Buick Regal GS but in terms of real clout probably the most impressive has been the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.
