The 2013 SEAT Leon – SEAT’s take on the new VW Golf and Audi A3 – has leaked out ahead of the official reveal. As has become the norm, we have photos of the 2013 SEAT Leon leaked out well ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September and before SEAT has had a chance to delight us all directly. A very toned down version of the SEAT IBE Concept we saw at Geneva in 2010 and based on the VW group MQB platform that underpins the new VW Golf and Audi A3, the new SEAT Leon is the third generation of SEAT’s take on the Golf.

The Bertone B99 Jaguar Concept - not for us, say Jaguar We thought we were in a minority of one when we proclaimed the Bertone B99 – Bertone’s take on a new Small Jaguar – to be the wrong direction for Jaguar. We couldn’t conceive why a struggling Italian design firm like Bertone would take a punt on designing a new Jaguar, so we assumed that Jaguar must have quietly commissioned it. Otherwise Bertone would have to be a bit barking to try and usurp Jaguar’s design team; a design team with as sure a touch as any in the industry.

Nissan Qashqai - 1,000,000 already built in Sunderland The Nissan Qashqai created the crossover niche almost single-handedly, and has gone on to be Nissan’s best-selling model. Now in its facelifted iteration, the Qashqai has been a huge money-spinner for Nissan. Fortunately for UK PLC, the Nissan Qashqai is built in the UK – in Nissan’s Sunderland plant – where a million Qashqais have been built, with 80% going for export.
