We have video of the 2014 BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe – effectively a baby 6 Series Gran Coupe – the new flagship for the BMW 3 / 4 Series range. Yes, every car maker on the planet is seeking new sales by offering more and more niche models, and BMW is no different. The best-selling BMW 3 Series range is due to be extended with a new 4 Series range of models that will offer the coupe and cabriolet versions of the 3 Series, including a car that could be considered a niche too far – the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe.

Video: FiDU technology creating lightweight, inflatable metal structures

This short video, featuring designer Oskar Zieta, details the process and design possibilities behind products developed with FiDU (Freie Innendruck Umformung – "free internal pressure forming") technology. Zieta, a Polish designer, explains how the lightweight yet robust metal appears as a soft object yet when you touch it you realize that it is actually a hard metal. "Working with FIDU technology is similar to carving clay," Zieta explains.

Subaru VIZIV Concept & new Subaru Forester at Geneva 2013

Subaru are debuting a new crossover/SUV concept at the Geneva Motor Show as well as the new Subaru Forester and Outback diesel CVT. Subaru are heading to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with a new crossover concept  - Subaru VIZIV Concept – but has failed to give us any real information. So we don’t know if the VIZIV (the name is supposed to mean ‘Vision for Innovation) is a replacement on the way for a current Subaru, or an all new car.
