Porsche Boxster Speedster – on its way
Fri, 18 Sep 2009A Porsche Boxster 'Speedster' spotted at the Nurburgring It looks like the Boxster Speedster (or maybe Boxster R?) will get the double-hump behind the seats and be a stripped-out and more powerful version of the current Boxster. Could it get more power as well as being lighter? Hard to say, but we can live in hope.
Driver prefer atlas to sat-nav
Wed, 02 Jul 2014SATELLITE NAVIGATION may have become an integral part of many drivers’ daily routine, three quarters of the UK’s motorists (76%) say they still prefer to use a road atlas to plan journeys. Drivers in a survey by the AA said they found an atlas more useful to give an overview of a journey. While satellite navigation systems are useful, a further 65% of drivers said they still use an atlas to check the sat-nav is selecting the best route.
Tesla Model S to get 4WD option in 2014
Sat, 10 Aug 2013The Tesla Model S (pictured) to get 4WD option in 2014 The Tesla Model S is an astonishing success for Tesla, and has turned a company on the edge of financial chaos, and in hock to the government, in to a stock market darling thanks to strong sales and great reviews. Tesla’s next trick should be the arrival of the Model X SUV in 2015, which will be a jacked up Model S with 4WD and the promise of impressive performance at a price that will go right to the heart of SUV/SAV offerings from the Germans and Land Rover. But ahead of the Model X actually arriving in Tesla Showrooms and customers’ hands, it looks like Tesla are set to add a 4WD option to the Model S using the drivetrain they’ve developed for the Model X.
