Tue, 05 Mar 2013Renault’s budget brand – and driving force – Dacia reveals a new model to add to the Duster and Sandero – the Dacia Logan MCV Estate. Renault’s budget brand has hit at the hearts of cash-strapped motorists with two models, aimed at the mopping up sales in the space vacated by former budget brands like Hyundai and Kia, with the cracking little compact SUV Duster and the far from useless Sandero, and now it has a new car aimed at budget-conscious family motorists – the Dacia Logan MCV Estate. The Logan MCV (maximum capacity vehicle) shares a common platform with other Dacias and comes in at 4490mm long with enough room in the back for 573 litres of junk with the seats up or a fairly capacious 1518 litre with the back seats folded down and a huge 16 different storage areas dotted around.

The Dacia Duster SUV has been winning plaudits for its cheap-and-cheerful blend of practicality and value,and leads the UK market launch next month. It’s taken quite a while to get a Jaguar XF Sportbrake price from Jaguar’s bean counters, but they’ve finally decided the entry price for an XF Estate will be the XF Sportbrake 2.2 Diesel SE Business at £31,940, rising to £51,505 for the XF Sportbrake 3.0 Diesel S Portfolio – a premium of around £2.5k for the shed on the back. The XF Sportbrake gets a choice of two versions of the new 2.2 diesel – a 163PS and 200PS (which takes the place of the original 190PS version) – and two versions of the 3.0 litre diesel – 240PS and 275PS – all of which will also be offered in the 2013 XF saloon.
