This is a vintage industrial control panel that I have re-purposed as a Ignition Switch start/ stop control panel for a Rat rod or T-Bucket Project. It is currently setup to control a typical gasoline engine but can be easily wired to operate a kill solenoid for a diesel rat rod application.  The dimensions of the box itself is 9"long X 3"wide X 3"high. The keyswitch and the start stop switch and the indicator lamp add about 2" to the height to bring the total height to 5". I will gladly send wiring schematics for your specific application so that wiring this piece in your vehicle will easy peasy.  The indicator lamp can be wired to come on when the engine is running or can be configured to turnoff as soon as engine cranks If you have any questions feel free to ask.

One big cat to another: a reader swaps Puma for XF

Mon, 07 Jun 2010

It was 2007. To be honest, at 24 years old, I wasn't really interested in the Jaguar C-XF concept car when it first appeared. I was still in that early twenties dreamworld where I would be driving the Lexus LF-A when it finally made production.

Limited-production Audi A1 quattro has monster power to all four wheels

Tue, 20 Dec 2011

Audi is poised to take the supercompact class by storm with a wild 252-hp, all-wheel-drive version of the A1. To be produced in a limited run of just 333 cars, the A1 quattro harks back to Audi's rallying heyday of the 1980s. It has aggressive, competition-based styling, a turbocharged engine and the latest in all-wheel-drive technology, together with a heavily reworked interior boasting all of the sporting accoutrements to back up its impressive mechanical specification.

Alfa Romeo 4C arrives stateside in New York

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

Not long after the last transport departed New York Harbor with a cargo of unsold 164s, an Alfa Romeo executive was probably quoted as saying, "we will return next year!" We have been eagerly anticipating the return of Alfa Romeo for the last 19 years, long enough for the last Milano to rust whence it came, every year the brand just another year away! Well, this year -- yes, this year, finally, no really -- the Alfa Romeo 4C heralds the brand's reintroduction to America -- just as it did last year, remember -- as early as this summer. You'll have to forgive us for such skepticism -- we've been burned by our desire to invoke Italian driving passion and all that, but it's also hurting the Fiat dealers who scrape by on a lack of product.
