Stratus receives Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) weather information (FIS-B), traffic information (TIS-B), and other related data, and broadcasts it to ForeFlight Mobile via its built-in WiFi network. Stratus is also an attitude heading reference system (AHRS). You can view your aircraft's course, ground speed, vertical speed, turn rate, attitude and altitude in Foreflight on your iOS device. Ships in original packaging with all original parts (mounts, charging unit) included. With a recent avionics upgrade, we no longer need this unit. |

New Range Rover Hybrid targeted at Europe: Frankfurt 2013
Wed, 11 Sep 2013The new Range Rover Hybrid (pictured) has diesel power to target Europe It’s not the biggest news at Frankfurt, but the arrival of the Range Rover Hybrid and Range Rover Sport Hybrid is big news for Land Rover, and for buyers running cars who are subject to taxation on benefits. Surprisingly, Land Rover has gone the diesel route with the hybrid, coupling the 3.0 litre diesel engine to a 46bhp electric motor which, when working together, offers the same sort of performance as the V8 diesel engine but with much better economy and emissions – 44mpg and 169g/km. Logic would perhaps have dictated that the new hybrid should have a petrol engine, rather than a diesel, as the biggest hybrid markets in the world – the US and China – have no real appetite for diesel engines.
Nissan wins bid to create taxi for New York
Wed, 04 May 2011Fighting off stiff competition from Ford and Karsan, Nissan's NV200 minibus has been crowned the 'Taxi of Tomorrow' for New York City. The contest aimed to build on the city's century-long taxi heritage and find a purpose-built vehicle that could answer the needs of busy commuters. Back in 2007, New York City officials created a set of goals for the next generation taxi cab as part of a project called the 'Taxi of Tomorrow'.
2013 Aston Martin Vanquish in the wild on video
Thu, 14 Jun 2012The new 2013 Aston Martin Vanquish – Project Am 310 from Villa D’Este – has been caught on video in Italy in production guise. The story of the replacement for the Aston Martin DBS – which we now know is to be the new Aston Martin Vanquish – has been playing out over the last month or so. We reported at the start of May that the DBS name would be dropped and then exclusively revealed that it would debut at Villa D’Este as the Project Am 310 to try and mop up the honours in the Concept Category (it actually lost out to the Alfa 4C).
