Mecum to auction part of baseball great Reggie Jackson's car collection

Baseball Hall-of-Famer and five-time World Series winner Reggie Jackson bought his first car before he could legally drive. And while that Ford won't be offered at the Mecum Monterey Auction, 15 cars from his collection will. A 1969 ZL1 COPO Camaro is among the headliners to cross the auction block.

JAC has unveiled its J3 Cross B-segment corssover, designed at the Chinese company's design center in Turin. The J3 Cross is aimed younger Chinese drivers that crave an SUV, hence the a split black grille, tough-looking bumpers that features an integrated chrome trim, while lower body cladding is incorporated to give some protection on rough roads. The raised ride height and integrated roof bars add to the J3 Cross' softroad image.

Volvo Aims High With Its Self-Driving Car Tech Project

SWEDISH car maker Volvo has announced it will embark on a large scale trial to refine the technology behind its self-driving cars. Volvo is no stranger to the technology having already conducted controlled experiments using ‘road trains’ – cars following each other closely at speed – but this exercise will involve 100 cars being deployed in the busy streets of Gothenburg, Sweden. The project ‘Drive Me – Self-driving cars for sustainable mobility’ is a joint initiative between Volvo Car Group, the Swedish Transport Administration, the Swedish Transport Agency, Lindholmen Science Park and the City of Gothenburg.
