Description:

Looking for a fast and easy way to add horsepower? These Superchips MAX Microtuners units are as easy to use as pushing a button, and require no tools.

They plug into your vehicle's sub-dash diagnostic port, and reprogram your computer with true performance curves for fuel and spark. Microtuners will give you more performance throughout the entire rpm range, not just in the top-end, like other brands.

Superchips performance programming along with increases in horsepower and torque, removes most of the torque management.

The Max MicroTuner allows the end user to custom tailor the rev limiter, WOT shift points and shift firmness level to the specific driving task at hand.

You can also disable the skip shift on manual transmission cars, calibrate the speedo for rear gear changes and raise the top speed limiter.

Installation:
  • Easy to install, Internet update-able.

Max Micro Tuner Fits:
  • 2004 Ford F-150 / Expedition 4.6L / 5.4L
Highlight:
  • Gain Up to 10% HP and Torque!
  • Fits 4.6L & 5.4L Gas Engines
  • Also V10 Gas engines

CAR tech: how to eliminate turbo lag

Mon, 29 Jul 2013

CAR has tested a new breed of experimental super-diesel that literally leaves current technology standing and may banish turbo lag forever. We drove an Audi A6 3.0-litre V6 prototype fitted with an electric bi-turbo system which delivers a massive dose of torque from idle. The effect is radical, firing the saloon off the line like an R8 when the driver floors the throttle.

Audi shifts to eight-speeds for most models

Wed, 12 May 2010

A formal press conference probably won't happen until this summer, but we hear that Audi dealers have received their 2011 order guides, and it looks as though the company will be going from 0 to about 70 percent of U.S. sales being eight-speed automatic transmissions. Beginning this fall, the eight-speed will replace today's six-speed automatic in the A4 2.0-liter turbo sedan and wagon, the A5 2.0-liter turbo coupe and cabriolet, the Q5 2.0-liter turbo, the Q7 3.0-liter turbo, the Q7 diesel, the Q7 with the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 and the all-new A8 and A8L with the 4.2-liter V8.

Kia Motors appoints Peter Schreyer as President

Fri, 28 Dec 2012

Kia Motors has appointed the man who changed their design – former VW man Perter Schreyer – as President. When Peter Schreyer left VW in 2006 after a sparkling career that saw him establish the Audi design philosophy – still a hallmark of Audi design – to head up design at stodgy Kia, many in the industry thought it an odd move. But Peter Schreyer seemed keen to prove his worth after VW had passed him over to head up their new design studio, and Kia offered the prospect of turning a budget brand in to a mainstream force with cutting edge designs and, it would seem, a pretty free hand to do what it would take.
