Few mere mortals get the opportunity to drive up the hallowed tarmac at Goodwood – it’s more often reserved for F1 aces and motorsport heroes, such as a certain David Coulthard. New Saab 9-3 leaks It makes a change to have a Saab story that isn’t more doom and gloom and financial meltdown, but it does seem a bit of a coincidence that an image of the new Saab 9-3 should surface on the day Saab reveals the Chinese investment plans to put Saab back on its feet. Still, casting our cynicism aside, the new Saab 9-3 will be a key part of the plans to revive Saab – but this leaked photo isn’t the first news we’ve had of the new 9-3. Apart from Victor Muller’s musings about Saab’s future, we saw a proper concept of the new 9-3 back at Geneva in the Spring when Saab called the Saab PhoeniX (the 9-3 Concept) an ‘Aeromotional Design’ and managed to allude to Saab’s background in fighter planes by saying the PhoeniX  ‘liquid metal’ forms and a dramatic jet canopy-inspired glasshouse’.

Bugatti Veyron Limited Editions at Dubai Motor Show

Buhgatti has revealed three Limited Edition Veyrons at the Dubai Motor Show We’re back to yet more Bugatti Veyron Limited Edition cars to add to the 300 already out there (sorry, that’s the number of Veyrons in total – but it’s close to the number of ‘Special’ Veyrons) with the reveal of the Veyron Nocturne, the Veyron Sang d’Argent and the Veyron Soleil de Nuit at the Dubai Motor Show today. The Veyron Nocturne is a limited run of five cars costing €1.65 million each. Bugatti wax lyrical about “…extraordinary partition of surfaces never used so far, giving the car a new dimension of lateral length” and “…galvanized side windows continuing the line of the polished aluminium upper body parts to the rear of the car and contrast vividly with the uni black of the side- and door-panels and the roof.” So much as with every other Veyron Limited Edition it’s about setting the car apart.
