Ford supercars
Tue, 29 Jul 2008By 29 July 2008 09:00 The Blue Oval might be more at home building Escorts and Mondeos, but it too has dabbled in the superecar arena in the past four decades. And considering the company's main engineering focus, the two supercars it has built both qualify for CAR's landmark supercar status. The car will be formally shown at the 2008 Los Angeles motor show and this is only the second photograph of the new cabrio that goes on sale next summer. It’s the convertible version of the G37 Coupe (read our first drive here) and, like its 3-series target, uses a folding hard-top roof.

We know, for example, that Lexus intend the new GS to be a “…high-performance concept that can deliver an inspiring driving experience.”, which is an easy PR statement to make, but a not so easy promise to fulfil. But if early reports are anything to go by, it’s all looking rather interesting.
