Five Suzuki concepts for 2013 Tokyo Motor Show
Wed, 30 Oct 2013Suzuki has announced no less than five concept cars for the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, which takes place in Japan this November. Four of them are new: the Suzuki Crosshiker, the Suzuki X-Lander, the Suzuki Hustler and the Suzuki Hustler Coupe – the fifth being the Suzuki iV-4 already seen at Frankfurt this year. Car Design News Editor Eric Gallina presented the winning design teams at Aston Martin and General Motors for the most publicly acclaimed production and concept car designs of 2009, as voted by Car Design News readers in an online poll. The Best Production Car Design accolade was awarded to Aston Martin Design Director Marek Reichman for the beautiful Rapide sedan unveiled in full glory at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show in September.

The 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed is only four months away, and one of the highlights will be the Bonhams sale of the car collection of famed watch maker George Daniels, which includes a 1929 Bentley 4 1/2 Litre Supercharged Racing Single-Seater once owned by Tim Birkin in which he set the Brooklands Outer Circuit Lap Record in 1932 at 137mph. Tim Birkin was one of the fabled ‘Bentley Boys’ and George Daniels one of the most famous horologists in the world, and the sale of this Bentley 4 1/2 Litre ‘Blower’ is bound to attract a lot of attention and interest, with every expectation it could raise as much as £4 million.
