This tank is of a 2011 Triumph Speedmaster. The tank is perfectly clean inside and the paint is excellent except for the two little nicks, the ding in the right side, and the scraped badge on the left side. There is a ding in the right side of the tank (see photos) about the size of a silver dollar. The tank badge on the left side is scraped and needs to be replaced. This badge saved the whole left side of the tank because the left side is flawless except for the badge. The tank badge costs $38.07 from Triumph. There are two little nicks on the top of the tank. Just replace the badge and have the ding popped out (it is very accessible from the fuel pump opening) and you have a pretty good piece. See photos and bid accordingly. There is no other damage than what is shown in the photos.

New cost for this tank from Triumph is $652.86.

Wed, 22 Feb 2012

This is the new Mercedes SL63 AMG, a £110k roadster with 557bhp and 664lb ft of torque. Mercedes will reveal this monstrous open-top at AMG model at the Geneva motor show in March 2012. I’m up with Mercedes’ tricks – this Mercedes SL63 AMG doesn’t have a 6.3-litre engine, does it?

Nissan GT-R 2011/2012 tweaks leak out

Wed, 25 Aug 2010

The Nissan GT-R 2011 (2012 MY) Nissan don’t seem to be able to stop tweaking, nipping and tucking the Nissan GT-R, so it comes as no surprise to see that there are more changes planned for the 2012 MY (for which read 2011 everywhere bar the USA). We’re expecting those to surface around the same time this year – November – as the 2010 Nissan GT-R updates did last year GTR Blog are reporting the changes well ahead of anything official, but they look as if they’ve got some solid information so it’s worth repeating for the many GT-R nuts out there. Having nipped and tucked endlessly, it looks like Nissan are going to continue the trend for next year’s GT-R.

Auto-safety history gets its place in the Smithsonian

Thu, 15 Jul 2010

Smithsonian museum officials say their new collection of auto-safety objects dating to the 1930s is about America's love affair with its cars. But really it's about our passion for, well, staying alive. While some enthusiasts might question whether their cars should be braking for them, it's hard to quarrel with most of this technology.
