TWIN DISC / TECHNODRIVE  model TMC 40 P marine transmission, new, with 1 year warranty.   Your choice of   1.45:1,   2:1,  or  2.6:1  reduction ratio.

 List price is $1259, we sell these new units discounted.

Add $59 if you need the optional shift cable bracket and cable clamp. [ not shown ]

 It is rated for a maximum 34.8 horsepower diesel engine at 3600 rpm. The engine must have left hand [ counterclockwise ] rotation, when looking at the flywheel. A right hand  propeller [ clockwise rotation, when looking at the prop from the stern of the boat ] must be used.

 It will bolt to a 4" diameter Borg Warner / Velvet Drive prop shaft coupler. We have these couplers in stock, new, to fit 3/4",  7/8",  1",  1.25"  and 1.375" diameter prop shafts. $69 each. Add $5 for the bolt coupling set [ consists of four fine thread bolts and washers that are needed to connect this transmission to your prop shaft coupler ]

Honda set to debut S660 roadster concept at Tokyo motor show

Honda will take the wraps off the S660 roadster concept at the upcoming Tokyo motor show at the end of November of this year. Honda fans have admittedly been shortchanged when it comes to the roadster bodystyle from the Japanese automaker, with the S2000 having left production back in 2009. Honda could remedy this gap in its lineup with a production version of the S660 roadster.

Audi recruits German and Mexican students to design A0 monocycle

Audi has teamed up with German and Mexican engineering and design students for a project that has resulted in the A0 electric monocycle. Resembling a seated Segway with a hubless wheel, information about this project follows hot on the heels of the Urban Concept, and suggests Audi following the lead of BMW in seriously looking at new ways of improving mobility in cities. The project, conducted by the Technical University of Munich and National Autonomous University of Mexico, was sponsored by the Audi Design Research Center Munich, and conducted under the supervision of Klemens Rossnagel, Head of Audi Design Research Center.

For the second year running, the Mini tops the table, although even it has slipped a bit – retaining 63.2% of its value over three years, a fall of 7.8% since last year.
