TRD250D has a display dimming feature. The Photo resistor that controls this was bad and has been replaced today, when its yellow tag was issued.

Terra sold the rights for this transponder to Trimble who have sold the operation to EAS, Ellison Avionics Service, ( FAA CRS # 91AR302C )

I called them up at (254) 640-9024 and they mailed the part out the next day. Troy Ellison runs the business out of Waco Texas.

Awesome service, pleasant to deal with.

Apple and Ferrari—What could be better?

Thu, 08 Nov 2012

Recently a press release popped into my email (remember when we used to say “came across my desk”?) that said Eddy Cue, Apple's head of Internet software and services, has joined Ferrari's board of directors. The statement said while on the board Cue, a Ferrari owner, will “aid with his experience in Internet-based commerce.” My two cents: It's a brilliant move for both parties, and the ramifications could be huge. Think about it: Does this mean Apple wants to make stuff for cars?

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

New Mercedes SL 2012 - out Near the Nurburgring We go eight months without a single story on the 2012 Mercedes SL and then two turn up at once. First Mercedes quietly drop the V12 engine from the SL (SL600 and SL63), and now we have video of the new SL on its way to, and on its way round, the Nurburgring. All of which may point towards a reveal earlier than we expected.
