With a rich tradition of innovation, Cadillac tackled this difficult task in 2003 by creating the stunning Sixteen concept. Its caricature-like proportions exaggerate all the luxury car design codes.

Jaguar C-X16 concept

Jaguar has released details of its C-X16 concept, due to be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show. The C-X16, a sporty two-seater hybrid, is designed to indicate the future direction of Jaguar's design, engineering and technological intent. The car is the smallest Jaguar in terms of length since the XK-120 from 1954.

Tesla takes a swipe at BMW & Audi

But we do have soft spot for what Tesla are doing. That’s because Tesla has tackled the issues of electric cars in  the cleverest way possible by building a car (the Model S) that looks like a normal luxury car – rather than making it look odd or quirky just to ram home its difference – and made it travel a sensible distance on a single charge.
