Reversed-pattern, full-manual control valve body for use with all 1962-1964 Torqueflite 727’s and 1960-1964 Torqueflite 904’s with PUSHBUTTONS. The DRIVE button becomes low gear and the FIRST button becomes high gear (buttons can be dis-assembled, modified and re-assembled to cause them to be labelled correctly). Shift pattern on the buttons with this valve body becomes: R-N-1-2-D; reverse-pattern design originated with the 1964 Race Hemi program. Because these valve bodies were intended for drag racing purposes there is NO DECELERATION BRAKING in LOW gear, the vehicle will “free-wheel”; all other gears operate as usual. The full-manual control operation eliminates the need for “kickdown” linkage/throttle-pressure linkage. The “SECOND” to “DRIVE” shift with this valve body is very crisp; the “LOW” to “SECOND” shift is abupt and tends to “chirp” the tires with any appreciable throttle opening. The “LOW” to “SECOND” shift can be mellowed by backing off on the throttle when making the shift and re-applying the throttle after “SECOND” gear engages. Valve body is assembled with “Hustle Stuff” – “Direct Connection” parts (supplied by Chrysler from the mid-1960’s through the late 1970’s); machine work and manufacture done by Pat Blais Transmissions (Seattle) with 48+ years in the Torqueflite business. NOTE: customer to transfer the manual lever (w/cable adapter), manual valve, detent ball & spring, and kickdown shaft from their original automatic valve body when installing this manual valve body. Supplied with new shift cable ‘O’ ring and throttle lever shaft seal. When any rear-wheel-drive Mopar is drag raced or driven in a high-performance manner there is a danger of rear differential failure, driveshaft breakage or Torqueflite overrunning clutch failure any of which can lead to severe transmission damage and possible serious injury to the vehicle occupants; it is therefore HIGHLY recommended that a transmission shield or “blanket” be installed on the vehicle. An option is to install an aluminum front clutch drum, billet steel drum or steel-banded aluminum drum for increased safety; we stock the TCS brand. Also available: manual valve bodies for 1964-1965 CONSOLE or COLUMN shift cars and 1966-1989 mechanical shifte-linkage cars. Shipping $ 18.95 via Priority Mail; Postal Insurance available for $ 5.10. We ship purchases twice weekly, Wednesdays and Saturdays. eBay's new policy restricts e-mail addresses between buyers and sellers; contact us for technical information or pictures by substituting the "@" symbol for the "at" in the following: tflitepatty"at"comcast.net. Contact us for shipping costs to foreign countries. We also have available on auction or our eBay Store most Torqueflite 727 & 904 “soft” parts in “open stock”, available by the piece (gaskets, seals, bushings, ‘O’ rings, clutch discs, steel plates, lip seals, bands, thrust washers, filters, metal sealing rings, etc.) or in “sub-kits” for single-function repair; most Torqueflite 727 & 904 “hard” parts also available. See a selection of other Mopar parts on our eBay store site: T’Flite Patty’s Shop Mart. Prefer PayPal; contact us if you experience difficulty signing up with PayPal. Payment must be received within 10 days or part will be re-listed and a “non-paying bidder” report filed with eBay.

RETURNS, new OR used: parts received back at our location from purchaser must be in “as-originally-shipped” condition, having not been installed, damaged or changed from original configuration in any way. Purchaser is responsible for insurance coverage when returning. Refund will be made within 7 days in the same form as original payment after we receive the returned parts (in acceptable condition).

Want the world’s fastest diesel sports car? Then you need the Trident Icini

Tue, 29 Apr 2014

The Trident Icini (pictured) is now on sale We saw the Trident Icini at Salon Prive in 2012, and although it looked like it was ready to roll out as the world’s fastest diesel sports car it’s taken two year more to be ready to take orders. But now it’s gone on sale. Three models are on sale – the Iceni, Iceni Magna (it’s a fastback) and Icini Venturer (a sort of estate car) all sporting a 6.6 litre diesel engine which, in standard spec, comes with 395bhp and 700lb/ft of torque.

OFFICIAL: Jaguar F-Type Coupe Los Angeles debut

Wed, 06 Nov 2013

The Jaguar F-Type Coupe (pictured) will debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show The Jaguar C-X16 – the first look we had at the F-Type – was revealed two years ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and despite the F-Type Roadster arriving at the Paris Motor Show last year we still haven’t had the debut of the F-Type Coupe. But now Jaguar are finally ready to reveal the production version of the F-Type Coupe. It looks like Jaguar have planned a reveal for the F-Type Coupe similar to the one Land Rover did for the new Range Rover Sport – when Daniel Craig drove the new Sport across New York ahead of the opening of the show – as they tell us the F-Type Coupe will arrive on the eve of the Los Angeles Show.

Peugeot 308 RC Z and hybrids

Thu, 13 Sep 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 13 September 2007 02:36 Peugeot 308 RCZ: the lowdown The Peugeot stand at Frankfurt was a timely reminder just how much the market has fragmented these days. It was packed with 27 cars in rambling hall 8 – five of which were new concept cars, albeit mostly versions of existing production cars. But there was little doubt which was most eye-catching: the 308 coupe concept was an elegant reminder that French design shouldn’t be written off quite yet.
