Fabio Filippini, an Italian who has worked in France, Japan and Spain, will join the design house from April 1 2011, filling the roll previously vacated by Lowie Vermeersch late last year. Fabio Filippini joins Pininfarina from his previous role as Vice President of Interiors at Renault Design.

We reported a few days ago that Quattroruote, an Italian car magazine, were claiming that the much rumoured Lamborghini SUV Concept would debut at the Beijing Motor Show in April. We did comment that the report seemed like the rumour mill gone mad, but the fact that Lamborghini were calling the report ‘Speculation’ lead us to conclude the story was probably true.
