EPA GUIDELINES

Did You Know...The Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500, Nascar Races, Baja 1000, Drifting, Rock Crawling and all other Professional and Amature Off Road Competitive events are exempt from The 1990 Clean Air Act. Within this Act Congress EXEMPTED "Non Road Vehicles Used Solely For Competition" (see below EPA Bulletin " EPA420-F-02-045). Issued September 2002 by the EPA Office of Transportation and Air Quality.  The EPA therefore adopted regulations that generally EXCLUDE from the new regulations vehicles and parts used for competition.

Under this exemption, the EPA allows you to Modify your vehicles engine OR emission controls in any way if your vehicle is used solely for competition and is not subject to EPA standards.

Apex motorsport manufactures and sells devices for non road competition vehicles that fall under the above exemption. They are "expressly sold to modify emissions on non road competitive vehicles only".
Use on street driven vehicles is expressly forbidden under The 1990 Clean Air Act Section 203 (a)(3).

The EPA does not regulate emission parts used to modify Non Road Vehicles Used Solely for Competition.

Mitusbishi Outlander GT – New York update

Fri, 10 Apr 2009

The Mitsubishi Outlander GT Concept will go in to production - expect it in the UK in January 2010 Tagged as a Concept Car when Mitsubishi revealed the first information last week, it has now been confirmed that the Outlander GT will go in to production. It will lose a few of the Concept-Cutie bits, such as the ventilated Brembos and the Oz wheels, but apart from that it will be produced pretty much unchanged. I wasn’t too sure about the Lancer nose when it first came in (although it has grown on me) but it does suit the Outlander GT.

Future products: Honda aims to build on momentum surrounding the Odyssey

Fri, 01 Oct 2010

Honda has run into a few problems with its new-vehicle introductions of late. The current Accord was a bit too large in this era of downsizing, the Accord Crosstour was knocked for its styling, and the Insight hybrid suffered disappointing sales. Things may have changed, though.

Lexus RX 450h SE-L Review & Road Test (2010)

Sat, 18 Dec 2010

Lexus RX 450h Review & Road Test There was a time when 4x4s or SUVs or whatever you want to call them were rather utilitarian. Some would argue it took the arrival of the Range Rover in 1970 to combine luxury with the benefits of four wheel drive, although the Americans might take issue with that. As would Jensen, who had the very complicated and very desirable Jenson FF on the road in 1966.
