Track Lug Studs (TLS) by Bottomline Traction Products Inc., are a revolutionary new screw in carbide tip stud. The TLS offers similar performance to that of a push thru style stud. The big difference is a weight savings of approximately 75%. Best of all they are easy to install.

TLS screw into the top of your track lug. When installed, TLS will protrude 3/8" above the lug (see photo). This TLS1000-48 carbide tip stud is designed to be installed into a snowmobile track lug height of 1.25 and taller. This is an easy and effective way to add traction to your sled for improved braking and cornering.

The TLS has been a big hit with the Mountain riders with deep lug tracks. The TLS provides light weight positive traction in icy conditions that will help your sled stick instead of sliding backwards down the hill.

Consider TLS for deep lug tracks, touring, trail, performance and entry level applications. As with any type of stud, patterns and quantities depend on your riding style. Before you buy, carefully plan your pattern and the quantity of studs that will best suit your riding style.

Features and Benefits:

Track Lug Studs are sold in packages of 48

Light weight.  A pack of 48 weighs approximatley 1/2 pound

Installation is fast and easy with a 5/16" socket and your cordless drill

Most applications will require a minimum of three packages (144 studs)

Application:  The TLS1000 in this listing is designed to be used in snowmobile tracks with a track lug height of 1.25" and taller.  If you have a shorter lug, see my other listings for the TLS750-48

Range Rover Sport sets desert crossing record

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

A RANGE Rover Sport has set a new record for the fastest crossing of one of the harshest desert environments on Earth. The new off-roader, which was standard apart from an additional protection plate under the chassis, crossed the Empty Quarter in the Middle East between Wadi Adda Wasir in Saudi Arabia and the border of the United Arab Emirates in 10 hours and 22 minutes at an average speed of 51.87mph. Covering 530 miles en route to the new record, the Range Rover Sport was driven by veteran Dakar rally expert Moi Torrallardona, a man who understands everything there is to know about driving large off-road vehicles in demanding desert conditions.

Councillor Ken Taylor (leader Coventry City Council), Brendan O’Toole and Victor Muller. Actually, even without the caption, we reckon you could have worked out who's who. A few months ago we reported that Spyker were moving production of their cars to the UK, in to the very capable hands of CPP Manufacturing, a Coventry-based specialist company already responsible for making most of what goes in to a Spyker.
