Range Rover Evoque: ‘Spy’ shots in London
Fri, 27 Aug 2010The Range Rover Evoque with different back end treatments I know, why on earth do we need ‘Spy’ shots of the Range Rover Evoque when we saw a completely undisguised Evoque – and eventually an equally undisguised Victoria Beckham – at Land Rover’s recent party at KP to celebrate 40 years of Range Rover goodness? Which was exactly our sentiment when we got a Tweet from Land Rover pointing us towards ‘Spy’ photos of the Evoque which purport to be snapped whilst the Evoque was out in London – perhaps on a secret photo shoot? Anyway, that’s what we thought when we saw the four photos at the bottom shoved on to YouTube.
Car April Fools Stuff: BMW lead the way
Fri, 01 Apr 2011BMW went to town on creating an M3 pick-up as an April Fools joke Just as we did last year with car April Fool stuff, it seems to make more sense to do a roundup of what hilarious pranks the motoring world – renowned for its sense of humour – has conjured up this year for your mirth than to run separate stories. BMW M3 pickup: BMW had one of its jolly japes for this year spoilt somewhat when spy shots of an M3 pickup were taken at the Nurburgring. But sources at BMW admitted it was part of a April Fools Day plan.
Record breaking Bluebird reunited with nose
Fri, 13 Dec 2013WORLD LAND SPEED RECORD holder Sir Malcolm Campbell’s Bluebird CN7 car has been reunited with its original nose. The car’s original nose was damaged and then kept in Coventry since 1960, but it has now been brought back to the car that lives at the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu, Hampshire. Damaged during a World Land Speed Record attempt on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, USA, the nose of the car was sent back to Coventry for repairs and an updated design to help make the car more stable at very high speeds.
