Previously such systems have been the preserve of sports cars and performance-orientated hatchbacks, and definitely not off-roaders. The Chevrolet Camaro Convertible – although no one will call it anything other than the Camaro Convertible, or maybe Chevy Camaro Convertible – goes in to production in January and will arrive in the UK and Europe in 2011. GM claim that the work they’ve done to make the Camaro work as a soft top has resulted in a car that has better torisonal rigidity than a 3-Series Covertible, thanks to stuff like a tower-to-tower brace under the hood, a transmission support reinforcement brace.
