The term transponder (short-for Transmitter-responder)means an automatic device that transmits a predetermined message in response to a predefined received signal. These car year, make and models have keys with transponders hidden inside the plastic head of the key. Mercedes-Benz starts voluntary recall of 2013 SL-class
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Mercedes-Benz has initiated a voluntary recall for its 2013 SL-class due to an issue with the air-conditioning system. Under “worst-case condition” testing during a severe front impact, a rupture of the refrigerant line is possible, which could cause a fire in the engine compartment. According to the report from Mercedes Benz, the refrigerant does not ignite under normal conditions.
McLaren's Stephenson honored by Art Center

Ford to sell Aston Martin

Ford announced today that the British sports car manufacturer would be sold and CAR has learned that Swiss-based Richemont and the French holding company LVMH have emerged as most likely to take on Aston despite having no previous experience in the car industry. Ford desperately needs to tap into the potential $700m-$1bn the sale of Aston could generate and hopes to finalise a deal by the end of the year.
