This is about 1 Uncut Transponder key.

The term transponder (short-for Transmitter-responder)means an automatic device that transmits a predetermined message in response to a predefined received signal.

These car year, make and models have keys with transponders hidden inside the plastic head of the key. The owner of the car may not even be aware that the transponder is there because there are no buttons to press. When a key is inserted into the ignition lock cylinder and turned, the car's computer sends a radio signal to the transponder. Unless the transponder replies with a valid code, the computer will not allow the engine to be started. Transponder keys have no battery; they are energized by the radio signal itself.

When you attempt to start the vehicle, the onboard computer sends out a signal that is picked up by the transponder in the key. The transponder then returns a unique signal to the vehicle's computer, giving it the ok for the vehicle to start and continue to run. This all happens in less than a second, and is completely transparent to the vehicle operator. It is a very effective system that does its job without the vehicle owner having to think about it, or modify his / her usual routine.

This system was introduced to help reduce vehicle crime. If the transponder key is missing or faulty the car will not start.

A few years ago, these keys were only available through the dealer, and the price they charge is really expensive (From $90 to $149 depending the Car).

Today, you can get these keys here, and get it delivered to your door.

Is a very easy purchase, you stay home, wait for the key, SAVE MONEY, and have the spear key you needed.

You can take it to most hardware stores, home improvement centers or locksmith shops to cut it and duplicate your original key. Once you have cut the key, you'll need to program it. That could be done by a professional locksmith, the dealer, or yourself.

With the Item you'll receive the programming instructions.

Or you can just go to a locksmith to cut and programming it. Taking this key with you is going to cost you much less than half of regular $125 than most locksmiths charge.

If your Camry is from Australian or Asian Market, you may not be able to program the new key yourself. You may need to take the new key with your working key and your car to the dealer or locksmith to get it programmed.

It Fits:

Toyota Camry with regular ignition (2007-2010)

WARNING: If your car is a 2010, please make sure your key has a dimple on the blade right below the rubber head. If your key has a "G" stamped instead the small dimple, please contact me, this key will not work in your car. If your Camry has Prox FOB, which means you don't need the key to start the vehicle, this key is NOT for your car.

If you have any question, just ask!

Note: Toyota has limited the number of keys that can be programmed into any Toyota and Lexus vehicle. Only 3 workings keys can be programmed to a vehicle at any one time. If you try adding an additional key to a vehicle containing 3 Transponder Keys already programmed, the vehicle’s On-Board computer will not accept the new key. Even if you lost one of the copies, the car’s computer still has it in memory. If this is your case, you will not be able to program more copies, unless you delete them. There’s a procedure to do it, and you can contact me anytime to get it at no charge by email.

Detroit motor show 2010 video review

Thu, 14 Jan 2010

Watch our brief video guide to the 2010 North American International Auto Show, aka the Detroit motor show. While writing our show reports from the NAIAS, we shot some quickfire video footage of the key cars, grabbed an interview or two and arranged a debrief with Gavin Green, Tim Pollard and Jonny Smith to reflect on their personal interpretations of the show. It's not professionally shot, but we hope it gives you a flavour of the 2010 Detroit auto show.
