Radiator Caps are designed to seal the top of the radiator filler neck to prevent coolant loss, pressurise the cooling system and raise the boiling point of the coolant.
Radiator Caps are manufactured using either metal or plastic design depending on the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications.
Tridon offers an extensive range of radiator caps covering both metal and plastic designs suitable for use on sealed recovery or open non recovery vehicle cooling systems.
In a sealed recovery system the cap (double seal) allows coolant to flow to and from the recovery or expansion tank, maintaining the integrity of the cooling system.
A non recovery system does not have a recovery or expansion tank; therefore a non recovery cap (single seal) only allows the release of coolant and return of air to the system.
A non recovery cap cannot be used on a recovery system.

The new Audi A3 Cabriolet – the fourth member of Audi’s A3 range – was revealed in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show and now, with first deliveries expected by spring 2014 in the UK, Audi has revealed the new drop-top A3 will cost from £25,790. That will buy you in to the entry-level SE trim which comes with a fully automatic roof in black, 16″ alloys, AirCon, MMI radio, iPod connection, DAB, Bluetooth and prep for an SD card Nav. The Sport and S Line sped A3s sit 15mm lower than the SE and get an acoustic folding roof in a choice of black, grey and brown and you can, if you wish, opt for the softer SE suspension or, if your season ticket for the chiropractor is up to date, spec the S Line with sports suspension.

But otherwise our group of 18 or so U.S. automotive journalists driving a fleet of high-priced Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG sedans would be allowed to continue on our merry way through the Spanish countryside.

MINI John Cooper Works Coupe Endurance- off to the Nurburgring
It did take a while to drag the MINI Coupe – screaming and kicking – in to the limelight. Too shy to arrive fully formed, MINI revealed the Coupe at the start of the month with a modesty blanket of black and white swirls over its money shot – the helmet roof and proper little boot. But it took just two weeks for the new MINI Coupe to pluck up the courage to strut its stuff undisguised, and we were treated to a photo avalanche to celebrate its arrival.
