TRIM - TILT UNIT FOR JOHNSON OCEAN RUNNER 115 hp OUTBOARD

You are bidding on a partially-functioning trim-tilt unit removed from my 1996 Johnson Ocean Runner 115 hp outboard. This assembly is being offered for parts.

Diagnosis:

This trim-tilt unit was original equipment on my 1996 Johnson Ocean Runner 115 hp outboard engine. Several months ago I experienced a problem in which the trim-tilt would lower - but not raise - the engine. If I tapped on the unit’s electric motor, the trim-tilt would raise. Assuming the motor was bad, I ordered and installed a replacement motor. With the new motor, the trim-tilt will go up, but I cannot get it to go down.

Condition:

The trim-tilt apparatus is original to my 1996 Johnson outboard. It has been used in fresh and salt water, but was always well-maintained. Thinking that I could fix the unit, I thoroughly cleaned it and it’s ready to paint.

The motor (black housing, green/blue wiring) was purchased several months ago and has only been used a few times in my shop to test trim-tilt functions. It has not been in or near water. Specification numbers/descriptions on the motor include: 690, 58/15100312, ISO 8846, SAE J1171, Ignition Protected).

Approx. Dimensions of Trim-Tilt Unit: 15” high x 10” wide x 7”

Comes with 4 bushings, O-rings, and other hardware shown in photos

Reason for Selling:

I originally planned to rehab this trim-tilt unit and keep it as a spare. Since I can’t get the trim-tilt to lower correctly, I’ve decided to sell the 1996 unit, with the nearly-new motor installed, for parts. I’m guessing someone out there knows much better than I do how to fix the problem, and I’m hoping you can put this equipment to good use.

SEAT Altea XL

Fri, 25 Aug 2006

Two years after the Seat Altea hatchback was launched comes the extended XL version, which effectively becomes a mini-MPV thanks to a 187mm increase in length. This of course benefits the interior most, the trunk growing from 409 liters to 635 with the rear bench pushed forward - though is conspicuously without the extra row of seats offered by rivals. Outside, changes are most noticeable at the rear where the styling theme has been softened to reflect the car's renewed family-focus.
