This is a dashboard made by a master cabinetmaker and Triumph enthusiast. It is templated from an original dashboard on a nine ply Baltic birch plywood which is very stable. The veneer is then applied and pressed. The veneer is rosewood. The satin marine grade exterior polyurethane is then sprayed until smooth and flat, about 5 coats. But the weakening Yen – and Mitsubishi’s 40th anniversary – sees Mitsubishi UK backtracking and delivering a limited run of special edition Evos for the UK – the Lancer Evolution X FQ-440 MR.
