Once I have determined IF your engine needs anything else you will be contacted with a quote for parts. Specialized parts will be quoted as needed. Shoot me a message for more information or a quote on your particular situation.

SHIPPING:

Buyer is responsible for shipping cost, including return shipping. You can expect to pay $50-60 east coast, $70-80 west coast to ship your engine to me (these are one way cost). I do not recommend shipping your engine in a cardboard box. PLEASE ship your engine in a 60 quart Igloo cooler on wheels with the lid screwed shut. I have included a photo of the cooler for your reference.

TURN AROUND TIME:

Build time will be based on the amount of damage / parts needed for your engine. Some specialized parts may take longer to receive. Or if you want a used part (such as an engine case) I will need time to hunt it down. I do believe in prompt service and excellent communication.

Project type advanced materials demonstrator Donor vehicle 1958 BMW Isetta 250 Project idea/co-ordinator Heidrun Goth Project co-ordinator Guido Gabriel BASF coatings/color designer Mark Gutjahr Project launched April 2013 Website www.basf.steron.com In January 2013, German chemicals giant BASF came up with the idea of building a bespoke vehicle to help demonstrate its industry-leading automotive applications – the MySetta. Starting with the iconic 1958 BMW Isetta 250 ‘bubble car', a team led by project co-ordinator Guido Gabriel modified the chassis, body and interior using BASF paints, fabrics and flexible foams. As well as showcasing BASF's automotive applications, the MySetta project demonstrates how they can be used to create striking fashion products such as shoes, coats and handbags; and accessories like a picnic hamper and portable stereo.

McLaren has launched a new website concentrating on the new MP4-12C Which is actually a good website. It has reams of good information and lots of images. I wouldn’t try using it from a dial-up connection, as it’s heavy on flash and imagery, but if you have a half decent connection it’s worth a play.

Volkswagen XL1 caught on video The Volkswagen XL1 – a super efficient diesel hybrid – caught on video winter testing and undisguised. The VW XL1 arrived at the Qatar Motor Show in 2011, a two-seater diesel-electric hybrid with a design that looks like it came from a 1920s view of the future, and claims of a gazillion miles to the gallon. At the time VW debuted the XL1 we reckoned there was as much chance of it going in to production as McLaren’s latest Formula One car making it in to a showroom, and that the XL1 was just a test bed for all the future tech that might just find its way in to Volkswagen’s road cars.
