Kia readies new minivan after Sedona exits in 2013
Wed, 16 May 2012Kia has dropped its Sedona minivan for the 2013 model year, but the automaker expects to return to the segment. Kia spokesman James Hope confirmed the Sedona's departure. He said Kia likely will field another people mover but he declined to say when or what it might look like.

The company hinted at its intentions to break free from its mundane existence as the maker of line-of-least-resistance rental cars with its Lignage concept in 1999 that harked back to its past large sedans, especially the CX. But it was at the 2002 Paris motor show that Citroën put a stake in the ground with its fabulously avantgarde Citroën C-Airdream concept.

That long gestation period could even change the 2011 Chevy Aveo in to the 2012 Chevy Aveo, which considering the ‘Concept’ for the new Chevy Aveo was shown at Detroit in January is one long introduction phase.
