OK, This is a used  FORD AOD, 1980-92, automatic transmission Throttle Valve Cable, often incorrectly called a KickDown cable, it runs from the intake's throttle linkage to a spring loaded control arm on the transmission to cooridinate transmission pressure with throttle position.  It came with a 1986 AOD tranny I aquired for my current project.  The tranny was behind a 1996 300 Six, but I'm sure this cable will fit other applications.  The overall length is 48-3/4 inches with 48" centers at the inner cable's ball stud mounts.  The housing snaps into bracketed square holes at both ends and the throttle end has about one inch of adjustment to dial in the TV pressure.  This must be done correctly or the tranny is subject to fry, look for instructions on the Web.

L@@K >>>  Three  day no questions asked inspection/return privilege, but if you break it, and then don't want it....Too bad,  I will not accept return of damaged goods.  Otherwise, I'll give a 100% refund, including original postage, you pay the return postage...Fair 'nuff??

A perspective on Monterey Week

Thu, 23 Aug 2012

The end of Monterey Week is always a bittersweet affair for me. It's a year's worth of preparation and anticipation that leads to eight to 10 days of long days and longer nights filled with both work and fun. For me, 2012 was the third consecutive year of jumping on a plane and heading out West for the festivities.

New Range Rover SOLD OUT in U.S.

Sun, 10 Feb 2013

It seems the 2013 Range Rover is proving so popular that Range Rover customers in the U.S. will have to wait up to a year for their cars. That pattern of demand for the new Range Rover seems to be the same in the U.S., with waiting lists of between 6 and 12 months for the first new Range Rover in a decade.

LENNON'S FIRST CAR UNDER THE HAMMER

Thu, 10 Oct 2013

THE FIRST car bought by John Lennon after he passed his driving test is being offered for sale at auction next month. The Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Coupe was bought by the Beatle in 1965 and is expected to sell for between 120,000 euros (£99,987) and 170,000 euros (£141,000). Lennon's biographer, Philip Norman, described how car dealers descended on the singer's home when the news emerged that he had passed his test and offered him a "gleaming smorgasbord" of luxury cars.
