The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched a preliminary investigation into claims of the throttle sticking open on the Ford Taurus from the 2005-06 model years. NHSTA says there are 14 claims of a stuck throttle in the Taurus, possibly because of the cruise-control cable becoming detached. No injuries have been reported.

Michael Schumacher is returning to F1 to drive for the rest of the season
For someone as competitive as Schumacher it must have been a hard decision. Michael always gave 11/10ths as an F1 driver, and you can’t believe for one minute that he’s coming back just to make up the numbers. He must feel he still has what it takes to win.

The third car of Suzuki’s dramatic Kizashi trilogy had its world debut at New York, and we’re told this handsome sports sedan is close to the production vehicle. When it arrives in the US this Fall, the powertrain will be a 3.6-litre DOHC V6 delivering 300bhp via a six-speed auto’ with paddle-shifters. No price has been announced, but it will offer ‘good value’.
