Infiniti Q50 Executive – it’s for business users
Wed, 23 Oct 2013Infiniti Q5 Executive – it’s for business users The new Infiniti Q50 (replacement for the old G37) was revealed at the Detroit Auto Show in January, prices for the Q50 were revealed in June (starts at £27,950) and comes in three trim levels – SE, Premium and Sport – but it seems there will be an additional trim option – the Infiniti Q50 Executive. With an eye to business sales in Europe, Infiniti has decided there needs to be a trim level aimed at business buyers (or those who do big miles), so they’re offering an Executive trim level for the 2.2 diesel version. As well as the normal equipment levels on the Q50 (which are pretty decent anyway) the Executive option gets, according to Infiniti, “One of the most advanced satellite navigation systems” plus some decent finance packages.
Audi RS6 Avant is the Audi R18 e-tron quattro for the road (video)
Mon, 12 Aug 2013Audi compare the Audi R18 e-tron quattro (pictured) to the RS6 Avant We’re not entirely sure how Audi has come to the conclusion that the RS6 Avant is comparable to the Audi R18 e-tron quattro, but they have. In a new video to promote the RS6 Avant – perhaps the pick of the crop of current uber-estates – Audi has the e-tron quattro out on the road in a series of familiar everyday pursuits. So we get the e-tron quattro waiting patiently to collect hubby from the airport, as the c ar to drive to the hills to ride a mountain bike, outside a hotel with luggage on the pavement, collecting the kids from school, parked on the river bank for a fishing trip and as a dog transporter.
Driving the Chevy Volt isn't special, and that's good
Thu, 28 May 2009We've had our first taste of the drive system under development for General Motors' pioneering Chevrolet Volt, piloting a test mule based on the Chevrolet Cruze at the company's Warren (Mich.) Technical Center, and it left us hungering for more. Yes, it's an electric car, but mostly, it's a car--one you could imagine driving every day without feeling as if you were engaged in a lab experiment. Frank Weber, vehicle line executive for the Volt, gets his nose out of joint if you call the drive system a hybrid.
