{tit}{cp}UNBREAKABLE (SINGLE) ENGINE MOUNT REDUCED HEIGHT TO SUIT COMMODORE VE & VF V8 LS ENGINES Reduced height mount for Commodore VE & VF V8 LS engines. The engine mounts is made from 5.0mm laser cut steel plate, components are laser cut and precision folded for increased strength and accuracy. They are all jigged for welding and finished in gloss black enamel paint. The same bushes are used for all mounts, a 50.0mm diameter cylindrical rubber bush and a 13.0mm thru bolt. Included in the design is a long lasting cylindrical bush that is always under compression no matter the direction of the load being applied.
Please Note:A pair is needed so that the motor sits evenly on the k-frame and mounting components aren't exposed to unnecessary residual stresses given the height difference between the stock and unbreakable mount. Mon, 04 Feb 2013As gas prices remain high, and an increasing number of automakers roll out plug-in hybrid cars and full-electric vehicles, it's becoming easier to be tantalized with the idea of driving right past the gas station and simply "plugging in." The debate ensues when it comes to cost: These alternative fuel vehicles mean a larger outlay of cash at the onset, but the long-term fuel savings could make the purchase worthwhile. To help straighten out this numbers game, we use the Department of Energy's Vehicle Cost Calculator to compare alternative fuel vehicles with their gasoline-only counterparts. For each scenario, we assumed that our hypothetical owner was able to get the full $7,500 federal tax credit and a $2,500 state tax credit, such as is available in California.

Tue, 11 Jun 2013You may remember last year we reported the unveiling of a customizable, modular little concept car called the Toyota Camatte at the Tokyo Toy Show. This year Toyota has returned with an updated version called the Camatte 57s with more scope for families to personalize their space-framed little machines with a total of 57 external panels (as its name suggests) as well as the removal of the roof which apparently "adds to the fun factor and allows everyone on board to enjoy the colorful exterior they have created". Like last year's car the driving position can accommodate both adults and children with gown-ups sat in the right rear seat able to intervene should the infant pilots go astray.
