This fuel pump/filter upgrade kit is for the 2005+ Tacoma 4.0L V6.
The heart of the fuel system is the fuel pump. It must deliver the volume of fuel needed at the required pressure for the rest of the fuel system to do its job. If the pump can't provide more flow, don't expect to have the fuel needed for more power.
UNDERDOG RACING DEVELOPMENT has been making and tuning forced induction systems for the Toyota 4.0L 1GR-FE engine since 2005. One thing we observe time and time again is as the power levels go up, the fuel pressure starts to drop off. The stock in-tank fuel pump combo does not flow enough fuel to maintain a sufficient pressure in the fuel rail.
The small in-tank fuel filter appears to become clogged in less than 30,000 miles restricting fuel flow resulting in insufficient flow/volume reaching the fuel rail. This can lead to a dangerous, lean fuel mixture. Until now, the only fix for this was to buy an entire new "tank unit" from your local Toyota dealer. The fuel filter is not available separately and is only available as a complete tank unit that includes the plastic in tank assembly with the fuel filter, fuel pump, and level float. This retails for around $575.
URD has developed a way to replace the in tank fuel pump with a high flow Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump and convert the small in-tank fuel filter with a large capacity external tank fuel filter that is easily replaced if needed. The new fuel filter can be replaced in minutes without having to go back into the fuel tank.
The URD 2005+ Tacoma Fuel Pump/Filter Upgrade Kit fixes both problems, insufficent flow from the stock pump, and the problem of the stock fuel filter's short service life before it becomes clogged and restictive.
If you have converted your 2005+ Tacoma engine to any type of forced induction system, URD strongly recommends installing the URD fuel pump/filter upgrade kit.
The URD fuel pump upgrade kit ships with:

New 2014 Corvette shows off in non-Super Bowl ad
Fri, 01 Feb 2013In all of the commotion about Super Bowl commercials, Chevy slipped a new 30-second 2014 Corvette spot by on its YouTube channel and no one even noticed. In the ad we see a black Corvette Stingray, first in the paint booth and then on the track. It's one of the first examples we've seen in the color, which makes the new body shape look even angrier.
Concept Car of the Week: Mercedes-Benz C111, C111-II and C111-IID
Fri, 30 Aug 2013In 1962, Mercedes-Benz launched a research program to investigate the development of the Wankel rotary engine and its potential both on the road and track. While the early mule wasn't a looker, the prototype's design continued to evolve until a public unveiling of the C111-I concept, designed by Bruno Sacco, at the 1969 Frankfurt motor show. The coupé may have looked like the systematic further development of the Sport Light models from the ‘50s with its gullwing doors, but it wasn't a design study for a new SL.
