The Jaguar XK66 (pictured) is Jaguar’s pricey goodbye to the XK in Germany We know that Jaguar is ending production of the XK this summer, and the UK already has its run-out special editions in the guise of the Jaguar XK Signature and XK Dynamic R. And now it’s the turn of Germany to get a goodbye XK. The Jaguar XK66 is a limited run XK – just 66 are being built – with the ’66′ moniker referring to the 66 years since the introduction of the XK’s earliest direct ancestor – the Jaguar XK120.

The facelifted VW Jetta is now on sale in the UK The Volkswagen Jetta – a VW Golf with a boot – is getting a bit of a facelift for 2015 (although you’d be hard-pushed to see the changes) and now, after its reveal at the New York Motor Show in April, it’s going on sale in the UK. German new car sales drop 11 per cent – pre-reg accounts for 33.5 per cent

New car sales in Germany dropped by 11 per cent in September with pre-reg cars accounting for over a third of all sales. That drop of 11 per cent in Germany is despite deep discount offers – an average of 12.2 per cent in September – with even the previously invincible Mercedes and VW having to offer discounts of up to €3k, despite which VW’s sales fell by 20 per cent in Germany and Mercedes by 12 per cent. What’s perhaps most interesting about the decline in car sales in Germany is the number of pre-reg cars sold (pre reg cars are cars registered by dealers to hit sales targets and then sold at a discount of up to 25 per cent).
