Which is all good news. So there should be fair few takers for the new Polo, which arrives in UK showrooms in October, with orders starting from now.
Volkswagen's Golf grabs Car of the Year award

Awarded by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers, the Golf won the title thanks to its choice of body styles, frugal engines, quality and excellent driving manners. It beat off strong competition from the likes of the Range Rover Sport, Jaguar F-type and Renault Clio, which won their respective categories.
Buick Regal unveiled in Hollywood

Is there an analogy in there someplace? The Palladium opened its doors with a Tommy Dorsey concert in 1940, at a time when Buicks ruled the road.
