NOTE: Pan needs circular crack repaired at front mounting hole - to lower timing cover.

Used OEM survivor big block Chevy three step Belair, Biscayne Caprice, Impala oil pan, correct for 1965, 1966, 1967 396; 1966, 1967 396, 427. Early style factory oil pan with the additional mounting hole at the front of the pan that attaches to the early timing chain/gear camshaft cover (1965-67 only). Correct for all 1965 - 1967 passenger cars with the big blocks. Includes the period correct "A" stamped oil drain plug. Correct pan for passenger cars optioned with: 1965 396/325 HP; 396/425 HP; 1966 396/325 HP; 427/390 HP; 427/425 HP; 1967 396/325 HP; 427/385 HP; L34, L35, L73, L78 - 396; L36, L72, L88 - 427. Drain plug gasket needs replaced. There is a slit in the pan where at the front mounting hole where the pan attaches to the period correct timing cover (see picture details). Will need braze, mig or tig depending on your preference, or, trust it not to leak with a good gasket and some silicone. Sump end of pan has bumps and scrapes that should easily bump out with the correct tools and expertise. No visible damage found on remaining surface of pan underneath the baffle area except minor pitting in spots. Look the pictures over, what you see is what you get.

EV maker Coda trims staff

Not much more could go wrong for electric-car maker Coda, which has struggled to sell its four-door EV in the United States since officially launching it here in March. But Web reports, first seen at www.plugincars.com, say the company laid off 50 employees, or 15 percent of its workforce, last week, mostly in the sales and marketing departments. Efforts by Autoweek to contact Coda have not been successful.

It's bound to make its competition debut at the 24-hour race at the Nurburgring on 15-16 May 2010. The Rapide will be driven by Aston CEO Ulrich Bez, who has a history of competing at the Nordschleife in his part-time role as a gentleman racer.

New Lexus NX Compact SUV ‘Grows’ on UK debut

The Lexus NX in a flower bed at Hampton Court The new Lexus NX – a compact take on the Lexus RX Hybrid SUV – arrived officially at the Beijing Motor Show in April and will cost from £24,495 when it arrives in the UK in October. Ahead of its official arrival in Lexus UK dealers, the NX has had its first public outing in the UK at the Royal Horticultural Society’s Hampton Court Palace Flower Show – the world’ largest annual flower show – where it was plonked somewhat incongruously in the middle of a flower bed (above). The NX was included in the ‘Inspire’ zone to showcase the NX’s contemporary design and technology and the debut was part of Lexus’s relationship with Quiet Mark, an international seal of approval from the Noise Abatement Society which encourages quiet technology.
