Up for sale one black leather steering wheel for Ford Explorer and Mercury Mountaineer 2002-2005 & Expedition 2003 - 2006 . THIS WHEEL DOES NOT FIT EXPLORER SPORT TRAC OR EXPLORER SPORT MODELS . As you can see from the pics the wheel is in excellent like new condition. The wheel has been cleaned and is ready to install ( does not include switches or harness ). The only visible wear at all is to the upper right hand seam. The leather is soft and tight and has a nice appearance. It retains all of the nice texture it had when new ( check out the close ups in the last few pics ) . The wheel has no gummy spots or twisting in the material from driver death grip. Would be great for an upgrade from the basic rubber wheel or as a replacement for a worn leather wheel. You certainly won't find a nicer one unless you pull it out of a Ford box for the first time ! Tue, 03 Oct 2006Audi has unveiled the new R8 supercar, closely based on the Le Mans concept that was shown three years ago in Frankfurt. The two-seat car uses a shortened version of the Lamborghini Gallardo platform, and is powered by a 4.2-liter V8 using FSI technology first introduced by the A2. Like the now-obsolete small car the R8 is also constructed of an aluminum space-frame, keeping weight down to 1360kg.
GM to keep GMC, Pontiac, exec says
Thu, 16 Apr 2009A senior General Motors executive today denied reports that President Barack Obama's automotive task force has pressured the automaker to dump GMC and Pontiac. Company sales chief Mark LaNeve also denied rumors that GM plans to terminate the franchise agreements of poorly performing dealers before June 1 to accelerate its dealership consolidation campaign. "The strategy we laid out for you [in February] is still the strategy," LaNeve, GM's vice president of vehicle sales, service and marketing, said today in an interview with Automotive News.

To counter dozing off while driving, which Mercedes claims accounts for a quarter of all major motorway accidents, its engineers have developed an innovative driver support system called Attention Assist. As well as registering linear and lateral acceleration, indicator and pedal operation and vehicle speed, the system also monitors steering response - the most important indicator of fatigue according to Mercedes, is tired drivers have difficulty in keeping their vehicle precisely on track.
