MOTOR DESCRIPTION:
Here for your bidding pleasure is an ORIGINAL CONDITION 1958 model year Johnson Model JW-14 Outboard motor that is a 3 horsepower twin cylinder short shaft water cooled engine. This motor was purchased from a lake area way up north- fresh water usage only. The motor had not been used in MANY years and needed a couple of coils and the carburetor cleaned and now it runs quite well. The motor is not perfect- there are a few wrinkles in the tank (soft aluminum) and one thumb screw is broken off and the fold over gasket that goes around the edge of the carburetor cover plate is not there. I will try to find another thumb screw to include with the auction- you could still tighten this and use it. The thumb screws and the tiller hinge need a good penetrating oil spray and some working back and forth. The pull handle is original proper Johnson signed, as is the tiller grip that is in NICE shape for its age- obviously been stored carefully away out of sunlight more often than not the last FIFTY FIVE YEARS. NO RESERVE!!!

BMW's Vision EfficientDynamics concept bound for Frankfurt
Sat, 29 Aug 2009BMW has revealed a radical vision for its future performance-oriented models in a spectacularly styled concept car whose combination of M3-rivaling acceleration and Mini Cooper-beating fuel economy will likely make it one of the stars of this year's Frankfurt motor show. Called Vision EfficientDynamics, the one-off coupe is a mobile showcase for lightweight construction and plug-in hybrid drive technology, while featuring a variety of futuristic styling, packaging, aerodynamic, lighting and interior ideas under development at the German carmaker's heavily cloaked FIZ development center in Munich. Many of the concepts are planned for use on upcoming BMW road cars, including an exciting Z10 EfficientDynamics range-topping model due by 2015.

Mini brand to get turbo three-cylinder engine
Mon, 30 Sep 2013BMW confirmed the Mini brand will also get BMW's new, turbo three-cylinder engine in upcoming models to be named later as part of a new family of engines for both brands that also includes an all-new four-cylinder. The company won't say which future models get the new three-cylinder other than the already announced BMW i8 plug-in hybrid. It arrives in the spring of 2014.
