This may be the week of the Detroit Auto Show, but it’s not stopping car makers giving us a taste of what’s in store at Geneva in the Spring. Mon, 12 May 2014Just 175 Volvo V60 Polestars (pictured) coming to the UK We did expect, when the Volvo V60 Polestar was made official in November last year, that it would be a regular production model. But instead it’s going to be a limited edition special. That probably makes sense with Volvo busy updating their entire range, but it does mean there will be just 750 cars built, of which 175 are earmarked for the UK – the biggest allocation of any market.
Ford C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid gets 108 MPGe
Thu, 11 Oct 2012Ford Motor Company announced that its C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid achieves an EPA-certified 108 miles-per-gallon-equivalent (MPGe) city and 100 MPGe combined. The rating makes the C-Max Energi the most efficient plug-in hybrid by MPG-e according to the listings on the Environmental Protection Agency Web site. The only vehicles to rank higher were the all-electric 2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV with a combined MPGe of 112, and the 2012 Ford Focus EV with 110 MPGe.
