We recently purchased the contents of a barn from a life long collector of vintage car parts.  Check out our other auctions and "The Old Car Parts Store" for similar items that have been in storage for the past 40+ years.

Here is a VINTAGE 1938 DODGE REAR LICENSE PLATE MOUNT / BRACKET.  It is in good+ to very good used condition.  The only notable flaw is some mild to moderate surface rust in a few areas here and there (minor).  The original rubber gasket on the backside is still very much in tact and the mounting studs are in great shape and the nuts turn by hand (not seized).  The license plate bracket is straight and solid and there are no dents or bends (very nice).  Overall, a nice original piece that will make a good driver and has potential to easily refurb to show quality.  Please check out the pictures and email us with questions before bidding.  Professional packaging guaranteed (see our feedback).  Bid with confidence and good luck.

Mazda to use regen brakes to boost fuel economy 5 to 10 percent

Mazda is adding a fuel-saving technology that harnesses wasted brake energy in the redesigned Mazda6 sedan due early next year. The approach uses regenerative braking to convert kinetic energy into electricity that is stored in a capacitor. The car later taps that capacitor to power the fuel pump, lights, audio, air conditioning and transmission and engine control systems.

Nissan bosses have been showing the Nissan Qazana to the workforce in Sunderland The Nissan Qazana is an important car, not just for Nissan in this tough economic climate, but also for the workforce in Sunderland. The Qazana, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, is set to take the place of the Micra at Nissan’s Sunderland plant, safeguarding over 1,000 local jobs. And after the official first view of the Qazana at Geneva, Nissan bosses decided it was time to let the workforce in Sunderland have a good look at the Qazana to see what mad-looking motor is going to save their jobs.

The new small Jaguar pictured testing at the Nurburgring. A replacement for the un-loved Jaguar X-type has been on Jaguar’s ‘To Do’ sheet for some time, but a new small Jaguar is now finally on the way, although it is still probably more than a year away from hitting Jaguar showrooms. But a year or so is no time in terms of new car development, so Jaguar are already out playing with prototypes of the new small Jaguar – perhaps the Jaguar XS – although they’re wearing slightly unconvincing XF clothes.
