Here we have a Vintage Montgomery Wards Sea King Boat Motor. This is a 5hp twin cylinder,1947. This was my Grandfathers and I remember about 5 yrs.ago he had it in pieces,I believe he was replacing the piston rings? Anyways we have had it out on the water since and it ran good.He has since passed on and the motor has been sitting for about 2 yrs now, maybe 3. Here is a write up I found on these engines;;; This is a 1947 Gale outboard motor model 2W7.It was made by Outboard Marine Corp.(OMC) The parent company of Johnson and Evinrude. It uses many (but not all) Johnson and Evinrude parts.Gales were made in the old Johnson factory in Galesburg Illinois. They were also sold as Buccaneer,Sea Bee,Champion (and as this one) Sea King by Montgomery Wards. This is a twin cylinder ,water cooled two stroke motor. It is way better than the one cylinder air-cooled outboards made by Eska and sold as ted Williams or Eska or Golden Jet or dozens of other names into the 80's. OMC(Gale) motors are more powerfull for the weight, quieter, cooler, smoother running and tougher. Mix the oil at 24:01 or 32:01 if you want it to smoke less, they do smoke. Use only Champion J6J or J6C Plugs, nothing else will do!  Thank you for looking and reading. If you need any more info feel free to ask. No Returns Due to Part Swappers!!!
