Vintage 1953 1954 1955 1956 1957 Ford Bench Tailgate Wall Art Tail Gate Bench on 2040-parts.com
Colby, Kansas, United States
We've sold over 300 vintage tailgates that customers use in restorations and repurpose into benches, tables, fences or signs. We generally have several different makes and models, so be sure to view our other auctions and check back often…you never know what Pete will find. There is a reason they are so popular…the size makes them the perfect bench back and the old worn paint and random dents and dings give them unique character; the patina of the oxidized metal can only be produced by time and the elements. This tailgate came off an old 50's Ford. The original maroon has worn and the white primer shows through in random spots giving great "grunge" appeal...the black embossed letters really pop. Nice and straight for a ratrod or would make a terrific bench/sign. 50" x 19 1/4". |

Peugeot SR1 concept
Fri, 08 Jan 2010Well ahead its anticipated debut at the 2010 Geneva motor show, Peugeot has released renderings of the SR1, a new 2+1 concept which showcases the stylistic design direction of the brand's future models. The hardtop convertible concept car is said to embody the new world of Peugeot, reflected by the new Lion badge which adorns its sculpted hood. Designed to explore and reinterpret the 'Grand Touring car' theme, with a long, sculpted hood, flowing body panels made of carbon and a very low center of gravity, the aesthetic traits of the SR1 are claimed to renew Peugeot's strong stylistic identity and create a new design language.
2012 Jaguar XK Convertible Spied
Sat, 22 Jan 2011The 2012 Jaguar XK Convertible - suitably camouflaged Just last week we ran a story about a camouflaged Jaguar XJ running around on trade plates. We’d picked the photo up from Autoblog, who reckoned the photo was a facelift for the XK as a final titivate next year. We thought the trade plates were to protect the long-expected Jaguar XK Diesel from a DVLA registration check divulging it was burning oil.
Saab 9-4X: First 9-4X rolls out
Mon, 14 Feb 2011The Saab 9-4X Production Car rolls out of GM's plant in Mexico I seem to remember we did a similar headline to ‘Saab 9-4X Rolls Out’ almost exactly a year ago. But that headline – when Saab built 147 9-4X models at GM’s plant in Mexico - was for crash-testing and other pre-production requirements. This roll out of the 9-4X is the real deal.
