This is an original EMPTY Carroll Shelby box that was used to package a 10 spoke wheel (5 wheels were ordered by a Shelby owner here in Omaha, and the 5 were used on a 1968 GT350). This is the last one I have out of a set of 5 boxes - the other 4 have been sold to individuals on eBay. Cut it up and frame sides, use in a man cave/garage art. Unless one of the other 4 come up for sale, I would guess this might be the last packaging box like this that will ever be for sale. Although previously scooped by CAR as long as two years ago, these are the first official pictures of the Gordon Murray Design T25 that its makers claim will revolutionise car design, manufacturing and even the way we drive. He did indeed design the seminal McLaren F1 and still hopes to build another one, but in the meantime the T25 is designed for the more humble motorist. Gordon Murray Design is keen to promote itself as a leader in downsizing, both in terms of the physical footprint of the car and engine size.

Wed, 17 Apr 2013So the opening of McLaren Manama – a joint venture between McLaren Automotive, Mumtalakat, and Al Ghassan Motors - at the Bahrain World Trade Centre is an opportunity to get the P1 front and centre as McLaren promotes both the new showroom and the upcoming 2013 Bahrain Grand Prix. But it won’t just be the P1 in McLaren’s new Bahrain showroom, it will also be the getting the Formula One gloss too with the MP4-25 – Jenson Button’s car in his 2010 season with McLaren – going on display to garner footfall in the new showroom. To give us a reason to report on the new showroom in Bahrain, McLaren has released more images from the photo shoot earlier this year at the Bahrain International Circuit when they were busy drumming up interest in the P1, and they’re such beautifully lit and shot images we couldn’t not publish them.
