Here's a very nice looking used temperature gauge from a 1978 Ski Doo Elite. The outside diameter of the body is approximately 2 1/16".  It was working perfectly when I removed it from the Elite. I think the same style of gauge was also used on some Blizzards and possibly on the liquid cooled Everests. The part number is 414 2711 00.

Bad British drivers 'in denial'

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

A NEW study has uncovered the extent to which British drivers will stubbornly refuse to admit being wrong or behaving badly on the road. Almost all (98.7%) UK motorists believe they are safe drivers, but only 22.6% of those who had an accident admitted being at fault, which seems to display a degree of denial in British drivers when it comes to behaving badly on the roads. Carrot Insurance, which specialises in providing telematics-based policies to 17-24-year-olds, carried out the survey ahead of this week’s National Road Safety Week campaign and discovered several surprises.

Who's Where: Dave Rand resigns from Changan Automobile

Mon, 27 Feb 2012

Dave Rand, the former General Motors Design Chief, has resigned from the Chinese State-owned automaker after joining the company last October. Rand's resignation, which was made official last week, follows that of his senior at Changan, Ken Ma who stepped down as Vice President of Design earlier this year. It is not clear precisely why both men have decided to leave the Chinese carmaker, but several people familiar with the situation have said that both Rand and Ma's departures are connected with Changan Auto's recent financial difficulties.
