Want an Audi Quattro? You’re not the only one.
Sun, 23 Nov 2008Being male, and Clarkson-aged, I remember, and owned, many of the ‘Classic’ cars which have turned up in hit TV series in recent years. For many years now they’ve just been fond memories, periodically stimulated by looking at old photos, but cars like these are becoming more and more common on our roads, according to a spokesman from Brittania Rescue: “These cars are stylish and they benefit from cheaper road tax so it’s no surprise they are getting a second lease of life.” The Iconic Audi Quattro - as seen in Life on Mars And frankly, I’m not surprised. Pagani Huayra pretends to be a Koenigsegg to get in to the U.S.
Wed, 18 Sep 2013The first road-legal Huayra in the States – or is it a Koenigsegg?! Regular readers may remember we cast doubts on Pagani’s claim that the new Huayra would be US road legal back in 2011, when we revealed that Pagani’s plans to gain an exemption from fitting advanced airbags was denied. That meant Pagani had to go away and get the Huayra to conform with airbag regulations to make it legal to sell in the US, which Pagani promised to do and declared everything would be fine and they’d have the first road-legal Huayras Stateside by 2013.
Porsche threatens to pull Boxster production from Magna
Fri, 25 Sep 2009Porsche is considering canceling an existing contract with Magna to build the next-generation Boxster and Cayman in Austria starting in 2013 and may instead move production to Karmann in Germany. The move would be aimed at protecting Porsche's closely guarded engineering and production cost secrets for its upcoming entry-level roadster and coupe. Porsche insiders say plans established under former boss Wendelin Weideking to build the Boxster and the Cayman at Magna's Graz factory in Austria are now being heavily reviewed following the Canadian/Austrian company's bid to take control of financially embattled Opel from General Motors.
