An outstanding replacement vinyl decal (NOT water transfer) for the extremely popular single-cylinder Elto Pal outboard boat motor manufactured from 1937-1941. This set of four decals for the gas tank includes the tear drop “Elto” for each side, the starting/oiling instructions for the top and the word “Pal” for the back. These vinyl decals are very easy to apply as they come with facing material attached and instructions. They are clear-coated for shine and long life. Expertly reproduced in black, red and gold, these vinyl decals are the “finishing touch” that will make that cute little motor restoration look showroom new. The Elto Pal (.9 hp in the early years and 1.1 hp. later) was an extremely popular motor for the exploring canoeist, the small rowboat fisherman and those small canvas-over-cedar dinghies to get to the big yacht.  Elto advertised these motors extensively prior to World War II and sold many to the outdoor sportsman as they were inexpensive at the time when the country was emerging from the Great Depression.  These decals are truly a “must have” for the renovation or restoration of the antique Elto Pal. Starting bid $14.95, Shipping and packaging $3.49.

The new sport Kia Picanto 3-Door The Kia Picanto of old was a dreary little thing, best thought of as disposable motoring flotsam; so cheap you could throw it away when you’d finished with it. Already in a different league in the looks department, the 3-door Picanto raises the bar again and is starting to look almost as good as stuff like the Fiat 500 – but from only £7,795.

Pioneer App Radio officially unveiled

Fri, 27 May 2011

Pioneer has officially unveiled the App Radio that AutoWeek told you about earlier this month. Now that it's willing to talk, Pioneer claims that the radio and audio system is "the first in-vehicle product designed to utilize the processing power, storage capacity, network connectivity and apps of the iPhone and iPod Touch as the primary source for its information and entertainment capabilities." That does sound a lot like what Mini Connected and, in a more platform-agnostic sense, Ford Sync are doing. Pioneer said it couldn't speak to the similarity of those systems, but Ted Cardenas, director of marketing for Pioneer's car-electronics division, briefed us on installation of the device and what Pioneer is doing to minimize driver distraction.
