Vinyl replacement Johnson outboard motor decals suitable for the following antique 5 hp models:1941-42 TS 15, 1941-42 TD 15, and 1946-49 TD 20. Made of highest quality exterior vinyl these decals are clear-coated for extra endurance. The set includes red/black right and left side vinyl decals measuring 11 ¾” wide x 2 ½” tall and  a silver/red/black “starting/oiling” vinyl decal measuring 5” wide and 2 ¼” tall. The set includes instructions for applying these (pressure sensitive) vinyl decals. The decals are mounted on a backer plus a facing material for easy application. Many outboard motor restorers/collectors have purchased these vinyl decals at Midwestern outboard motor meets and report outstanding results as indicated by the ribbons they have received. Feds researching fire risks from EV batteries, regulator says

Federal safety regulators have begun an $8.75 million study of whether lithium ion batteries in electric vehicles pose a potential fire hazard, officials said Thursday. Kevin Vincent, chief counsel of the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, said researchers are looking at whether the high-voltage batteries can cause fires when they are being charged and when the vehicles are in an accident.

Chrysler Group has delayed introduction of a fuel-saving automatic transmission so it can make the shift patterns more palatable to U.S. drivers--the latest sign that a key tool in automakers' plans to meet tougher fuel-economy rules needs some fine-tuning. Two weeks ago, Ford Motor Co., which uses a similar dual-clutch transmission in its Fiesta and Focus, took a hit in Consumer Reports' annual reliability survey because many drivers complained about balky shifting.
